Credit Suisse, in conjunction with the analytics firm NetBase, has intoduced the Online Brand Momentum Index – Handbags—a proprietary platform that quantifies social-media discussions and identifies consumer sentiment across brands. While they’ve been collecting this data for over two years, this is the first time the results are being published.
So, what’s hot in handbags? Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors top the list. What’s not so hot? Hermès, Marc Jacobs and Kate Spade are trending toward the bottom of the index.
